这天，叶玄又累得像条狗似的从山上回来。太阳毒辣得狠，把他晒得脑袋嗡嗡响。老猎户家那破茅草屋前，他正靠着墙根歇气，肚子却“咕咕”叫得欢，活像有无数只小猫在里面上蹿下跳。

“唉……”叶玄长叹一口气，从破布衫兜里摸出两个干硬得能砸死人的硬面馒头。啃着馒头，他想起爹娘留下的那本破书，早就被老猎户当成废纸烧了。要是……要是那天没捡到那块破玉佩该多好。
